2011: Penang Trip
I suddenly had an idea to do a KK-Penang Trip.
Since we wouldn't be able to cover this trip with our 1st quarter travel in KL-SG. I thought to do one for KK and Penang.
Why Penang?
It has Georgetown, which seems like an old school town that we would enjoy visiting.
Plans for Penang
Item One: Get a KK to Penang Flight
According to a quick google search, the only way to transfer from one island to another is through air and It would be a given that the best airline to use is Air Asia.
Item Two: Stroll around Georgetown
GeorgeTown is a UNESCO Heritage Site. It preserves a british colony with Malay and Indian roots.

It's so old school. We will enjoy it there. As for the places we'll check out. I found a link that may be helpful.
Item Three: Penang Hill
Links say that it is one of the coolest place on Penang.
Seems like a nice place to go on a relaxing morning stroll. There is a funiculartrain going up to the hill, which reminds me of the one in Tagaytay.
Also since it's a hill, we'd have a panoramic view of GeorgeTown.

Item Four: Kek Lok Si Temple
It is largest Buddhist Temple in Malaysia. Also known as "Temple of Supreme Bliss". Seems that there would be many things to see here.
Item Seven: Snake Temple
The oldest temple in Penang.
Built for a monk who had healing powers and took care of snakes. This temple was created in his honor and to give honor to his spirits. They built shelter in the temple and never left.
Snakes are everywhere in this temple. They are said to have came in the temple in their own accord.
This certainly would be an interesting experience.
